Water Sports
Dungarvan has much to offer the visitor or tourist, whether you are passing through or staying for a while. Our location on the bay offers a multitude of marine activities, surfing, water skiing, swimming, river and sea angling for which boats can be chartered from the harbour. Also, we have a very vibrant sailing club whose clubhouse is located on the harbour with a very generous welcome for all.

Golf
If water sports is not your forte, then why not try your hand at tennis or pitch and putt located in town centre. Our three 18 hole championship golf courses, all a five minute drive from town are a must for the keen golfer, and come in a Special Offer Golf Triangle Package – play three, pay for two. The three courses are all very different in aspect and design, and offer different challenges to all levels of golfers.

Dungarvan G.C. is a parkland course and runs adjacent to the Bay with seven lakes and many man made hazards strategically placed to test the best.

Gold Coast G.C. is a scenic and challenging course bordered by the Atlantic Ocean with unrivalled panoramic views of Dungarvan Bay and the Comeragh Mts. A test of skill for the discerning golfer.

West Waterford G.C. is built on 150 acres of rolling parkland on the banks of the Brickey River, the river transverses the southern boundry which makes this course very challenging. The par 3's on this course are truly spectacular !!

Apart from the fine eateries, we have art galleries, a wonderful museum, King John's Castle and a very extensive public library with internet access. Dungarvan SGC Cinema is the only venue outside of Dublin presenting the Live Met Opera, and it is only a 3 minute walk from the house. These shows are spectacular, and are a great start to a night out, because of the early timings there are many après show options such as dinner or drinks in the many establishments close to the cinema.
